Scholarship Mobile Library Training Community Center

Project Overview

SDDMLP is being implemented by the Nationwide Scholarship Program, an autonomous program of the Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS), in partnership with Development Project Service Center (DEPROSC Nepal) with a financial grant worth US$ 166,771 awarded by the World Bank's Development Marketplace 2003.

The idea for the project was initiated by NSP-NA in March 2003 as an opportunity to further NSP's cause. The project team aspires to implement the project successfully so that it can become a replicable model for education sector development in the country. The project is primarily focused on providing educational opportunities to promote a reading culture in rural areas of the country. It follows an integrated community development model to create enduring change and ensure the sustainability of the concept.
