Scholarship Mobile Library Training Community Center

Regional Community Centers (RCC)

US$ 83,704 (47%) has been allocated for constructing and furnishing (computers, photocopiers, books, furniture) the Regional Community Centers.

A resource center will be built in Barabise and Mahendranagar. The RCC will have a library with 7500 books each that will act as a base for the implementation of the mobile library system. It will also be equipped with a photocopier, computers, and other services. The community hall will be rented out for social functions. People using these services will be charged nominal fees in order to sustain the project.

In order to set up two libraries, the book management process is being conducted at Kathmandu. This involves book identification, selection, purchasing, cataloguing, packaging and delivery(or dispatching) to the RCCs.

Barabise:
The Barabise RCC will have a library and a reception which will house the photocopier and computers. A room from the adjacent resource building of Shree Sharada Higher Secondary School will be used as the community hall.
